About Our Guesthouse
We offer a guesthouse to rent as a whole for up to 8 persons and studio apartments in two separate buildings. The guesthouse has two double rooms and two twin rooms with a kitchen equipped with basic utensils, a terrace with outdoor furniture, and a hot tub (private) with wonderful views of Reykjadalur valley.
The studio apartments have private bathrooms and small kitchenettes with basic equipment.
It is perfectly located if you want to explore the natural wonders of North Iceland. Many of the regions main attractions are located within short driving distances to the guesthouse
Our Guesthouse & Apartments
Guesthouse Heima is a house with two double rooms and two twin rooms, that sleep up to 8 people. Kitchen facility equipped with main utensils. Living room with most useful furniture (no TV). Spacious patio with a hot tub (private). Bathroom with a good shower and an exit to the hot tub.

Vallakot Guesthouse offers three studio apartments; Austurbær, Miðbær, and Vesturbær, with private entrances. They each have private bathroom facilities and a fully-equipped kitchenette. Guests have access to an outdoor terrace and a hot tub with amazing mountain views.

Vallakot Guesthouse is perfectly located to serve as a base when exploring North Iceland as many of the regions main natural attractions are located within short driving distances.
Nicknamed by one local as ‘The Beauty’ in comparison to ‘The Beast’ of Dettifoss, the name Goðafoss could be translated roughly as The Waterfall of The Gods. An impressive site any time of year, in late spring, if you can catch it while there’s still icicles bedecking its sides, it’s a particularly otherworldly place to visit.
